Job Summary:
We are looking for an Academy Development Manager to build and enhance partnerships with sports academies across India. This role involves fostering strong relationships, streamlining operations, implementing best practices, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our partnered academies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports development, possess excellent stakeholder management skills, and be open to frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between GoSports Foundation, sports academies, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with academy owners, coaches, athletes, and local authorities.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, address challenges, and facilitate effective communication across academies.
- Implement sports science and high-performance strategies within partnered academies.
- Conduct assessments on academy infrastructure, training programs, and athlete performance.
- Assist in streamlining administrative processes and ensuring compliance with national sports policies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals related to academy development and funding.
- Collaborate with internal teams to roll out coaching workshops, equipment distribution, and development initiatives.
- Travel across India to evaluate academy progress and strengthen partnerships.
- Utilize software tools to track athlete performance, operational efficiency, and overall academy development.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Physical Education, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sports administration, academy operations, or stakeholder management.
- Experience working with nonprofits, sports federations, or grassroots sports programs is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of India’s Olympic and Paralympic sports ecosystem.
- Excellent stakeholder management, research, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and database management tools.
- Strong communication skills in English (Hindi proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work in a non-profit ecosystem.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
