Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Communications Specialist to lead our design initiatives and enhance our brand presence across web, print, social media, and digital platforms. If you are a talented graphic designer passionate about climate action and social justice, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
✅ Social Media Design: Develop engaging graphics, GIFs, animations, infographics, and illustrated explainers for LinkedIn and Twitter.
✅ Report & Publication Design: Create visually compelling reports, layouts, graphs, and tables while ensuring brand consistency.
✅ Email & Newsletter Graphics: Design eye-catching email templates for campaigns and newsletters.
✅ Template Development: Build reusable design templates for reports, presentations, and social media posts.
✅ Data Visualization: Convert complex research data into user-friendly charts, graphs, and scorecards.
✅ Social Media & Website Management: Support posting on LinkedIn and Twitter, and assist with website updates as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
🎨 Experience: 1-3 years in graphic design, preferably in social justice or climate-related fields.
🖥️ Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects.
📊 Data Visualization: Experience with tools like Tableau, DataWrapper, RAWGraphs (preferred).
💌 Email Marketing: Familiarity with MailChimp or Moosend.
📄 Software Skills: Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), MS Office, and knowledge of image licensing & rights.
🎯 Creative Expertise: Strong understanding of typography, layouts, composition, and color theory.
👩💻 Remote Work Ability: Comfortable working independently and within a team.
Education: Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
